Concerned Citizen For A Better Algiers, Inc.’s primary focus is to take the lead in transforming the dreams of our community into reality.  Since 1986 we have delivered services to low and middle-income residents.  Compassion and an enthusiastic attitude are paramount in delivering these services.  As an organization we must be a contributor and catalyst that focuses on human services and social issues that provide a better quality of life for the residents of our community.

 

As a viable member of the community Concerned Citizens For A Better Algiers, Inc. is a non-profit that operates multiple programs.  These programs are designed to have a positive impact on the lives of the participants.  Whether it is assisting a family in becoming first time home owners or providing housing and support for special needs persons, we develop the resources and infrastructure to complete the job.

To deliver services to the low-and middle-income Algiers residents of all ages that will enhance their self-sufficiency and empower them to become productive citizens. The primary organizational goals and objectives to fulfill this mission are:


Build affordable rental housing for homeless persons with special needs and their families.

Build/renovate buildings to provide residential care for homeless persons with special needs.

Build affordable homes for first-time homebuyers.

Provide job skills/life skills training.

Home Again will service individuals living with special needs in the following service categories:


*Long term housing (housing over 90 days)*

*Emergency Transition (housing for 90 days or less)*

*Three (3) daily meals for residents seven days a week*

*Transportation to medical and social service appointments to persons living with special needs*

*Training Session conducted for residents on life/work skills*
